Sunflower Swing will return in 2016!
We had an absolute BLAST at Sunflower Swing 2015! If you were there, then you know that the Bronx* crew won our Mad Libs challenge, and thus the honor of having their finished product displayed on this website for the rest of the year.

For those of you who weren't at the event, the challenge was to fill in the blanks of the following story, using only the titles of swing songs. Our esteemed instructors Michael Jagger, Evita Arce, Dan Newsome, and Lainey Silver judged the contest for us. Congratulations to the winning team!

I've been having such a great time at Sunflower Swing this year. The whole thing has just been Solid as a Rock! I'm enjoying getting to see parts of Wichita, especially after my friends told me it was Hot & Anxious. The amazing part is how cool all the staff at the event are. Why, last night Jerry the DJ offered me a drink. When I asked what was in it, he said, "Reefer Man". It was delicious. After that was a real highlight of the evening: a dance with Dan Newsome. It was great. I couldn't help but ask why he never smiles, and he said, "I'm not sad, it's just when I smile it makes me Add a Little Wiggle". Understandable. It was a great start to the weekend, simply Top of the Town.

I woke up this morning excited and refreshed. I even had a dream about Lainey Silver. Can you believe she was Drunk while Makin' Whoopie without even Posin'? Crazy. I was excited to see my crew assignment. We said our crew should really be called the Indian Love Call. We started our first class with Michael Jagger. It was great. He even started it with a joke about The Flat Foot Floogie. That guy is a hoot. I'm really excited to take a class later this afternoon with Evita Arce. I've been a fan of hers ever since I saw her Beaver Junction on youtube. It was incredible. I'm also looking forward to the late night tonight. I heard it's at a pool hall, and there's food and drink there. I even heard a rumor if you buy Evan a beer he'll Hit that Mess until he Can't Help Lovin' That Man. I'm definitely going to try that. It's been a great weekend so far!
